Highland Tails is a warrior cats roleplay set in the Scottish Highlands during the 1800s. It's been four generations since the founding of the clans. Our goal is to be entirely community driven, relying on our growing community to create mini plots and plot arcs to shape the future (and past) of our roleplay.
the season is newleaf. the temperature averages 7°C to 18°C. currently, it is...
herbs have begun to regrow after the brittle leaf-bare. prey repopulates the lake.

CRAGCLAN ▸
Recovering from Leafbare and a particularly rough bout of Greencough, CragClan has recently lost their leader, Fallowstar, and deputy, Featherleap. Nightdove, chosen by Fallowstar following their deputy's death, has become Nightstar. Many lives were lost, and the clan is still recovering.
WARRENCLAN ▸
After losing their elderly leader at the beginning of Leafbare, Merlinstride has become Merlinstar. He has set his sights on ensuring his clan has enough herbs to heal the rest of the sick. He intends on sending a patrol to the ruins to collect more herbs in the near future.
[attr="class","nthlftsybdytxt1"]While our medicine cats may not be ready to immediately take on an apprentice, we wanted to go ahead and allow the community to post applications. Please do not pester our medicine cats for timelines or when they'll be picking.
But first, let's get into what we look for in any high rank.
QUALIFICATIONS Maturity... As a high rank, you will represent the roleplay along with our other high ranks and staff members. It's imperative we have high ranks that are level headed and mature.
Be Active... A clan cannot function without it's medicine cat. If you can't make the time to be there for events and non-events, we encourage you to wait until you're able.
Time Management... If you can't make it to events, be transparent with the rest of the high rank team. Radio silence will not be acceptable and can get you demoted.
HIGH RANK STRIKE SYSTEM Please note that HR strikes aren't the same as rule break strikes. But getting rulebreak strikes will also effect this system.
All high ranks get a total of three strikes. This comes down to going inactive, not getting on for events in your clan when you're needed, etc. We will have an absence channel in the discord to post in if you cannot make it online, but if you do not post there you will be notified of a HR strike on record. When you reach a total of 3 strikes, you will be asked to step down from your position.
Additionally, if you get a HR strike and have not received another for 1 month, you can appeal your strike and get it taken off record.
HOW IT WORKS When you apply for medicine cat apprentice, you are essentially requesting the position for a future character (in most cases). Rather than bringing in a random, new apprentice to the clan who becomes medicine cat apprentice, we wanted to find a cohesive way for storylines to intertwine with one another. So when our medicine cat has found their desired apprentice, you will be requested to find a kit in any litter of the clan and become a medicine cat apprentice once that kit reaches six moons. And to clarify, they must be born in the roleplay.
You can request to use a pre-existing character as medicine cat apprentice, including apprentices and warriors. But it will be up to the medicine cat's preference.
PROMPTS 01. Duties To Healing .. You're a fully fledged medicine cat of your clan, searching for herbs near the rival clan's border when you come across a wounded cat. Their scent proves to be from your rival clan, and they appear to be in great pain, but there are no visible wounds. You look around, and there is not a single soul around. What do you do? 02. Battle Ready .. There has been a border skirmish and your clanmates have returned to camp covered in wounds. Three have average wounds while one is barely able to walk and is bleeding profusely. If you act quick you might be able to save him. How do you react and what procedures and herbs do you use? 03. Confidant ..Your clanmate has been showing signs of anxiety, lashing out at their fellow clanmates whenever a certain topic arises. You see this cat run out of camp in a panic, what do you do?

AUDITION FORM FHU Username: Desired Introduction Plot: (Kit, Warrior, Current Apprentice) Med Cat App. Personality: Prompt 1: Prompt 2: Prompt 3: Do you have prior experience in this role?: What interests you the most about Highland Tails?: What would you like to see implemented whether it's high ranks or community wise?: Are you a HR/STAFF in another RP:
Desired Introduction Plot: Kit preferable if there's any litters open during that time! If not, possibly an apprentice.
Med Cat App. Personality: Flamepaw would be a tom that's very self-concious in his abilities to become a medicine cat in the beginning. He would definitely doubt himself at first, but when learning would soon discover his love for herbs. Very studious, he would try and drink up every lesson given to him from that moment on. Depending on how the training goes, and who's training him, since he's going to be only 6 moons when he starts, I do want to let the roleplay guide him in his personalities and see what struggles he might have to overcome depending on what's happening within the plot itself of the roleplay. He's quite stubborn in nature as well, both positively and negatively. He also will have an empathetic side, where we can easily pick up on emotions that others can be feeling.
Prompt 1:
Flameswirl padded along the rocky meadow, his teeth tightly clamped around the stem of a bell-shaped flower. The black seeds, dry and ripe for the picking, were ready to be used. The ginger tom knew he needed to keep these, as Leaffall was upon them. With Leafbare only a leap away, the medicine cat needed to stock up before these plants needed would dry. Frostmoon had taught him a clever way to keep them stored, and would fully plan to put these into practice.
The tom was just about to turn around to head back to camp, possibly preparing for another run out before sundown when a cry cut through the chilly hair. The ginger tom froze in his steps, his amber eyes blinking once, twice, as if to drink in the sound. /What was that?/ He thought to himself worriedly. He was alone, and so near the border, would Cragclan be foolish enough to attack a lone medicine cat going about his business?
He dropped the poppy seed and took note of where they were, knowing he would return to fetch them after investigating. Flameswirl quickened his pace across the rocky meadow, the rock faces jutting out, breaking the grass beneath his feet. Before long, he caught the sight of a Cragclan warrior, twisted in pain and obviously in great pain.
The white she-cat was hunched over, her side pressed to the ground. "I, I can't get up." She whined.
Flameswirl furrowed his brows together, taking in the she-cat. She didn't seem visibly injured, her pelt was not stained of red, but her shortened breath indicated some sort of trauma that had happened. He briefly recognized her at one of the gatherings, and tried to take in her name. "Whiteberry..." He tested the name. "What happened?"
She winced, giving a slight nod of her head. "I fell and I think I hurt myself."
A flash of doubt seemed to have made his way to the fore front of his mind. Why was she alone? How did she wander so far? Flameswirl knew deep down, he couldn't let somebody perish, no matter the clan. He approached her, crouching next to her. He began to prod the tip of his paw along he body, prodding and touching at anything really, to see if any pain would arise, of if she made a squeak.
He furrowed his brows together, watching her face with taunt concentration. He couldn't help but glance back occasionally, afraid he was being watched. He prayed he wouldn't get ambushed. As he go to prodding her back hind leg, she let out a significant yelp. He crossed off everything else on his list as he gently prodded it once more, and it gave way, at an awkward angle. The she-cat was distressed, her face taunt and clearly in pain.
"Definitely broke something." Flameswirl mumbled under his breath, just enough for the she-cat to catch it. "I need to grab comfrey roots. These will help repair bones and sooth wounds... basically an all in one." Flameswirl explained, rising to his paws.
He caught in his peripheral, a patrol from Warrenclan, making their way down to investigate. "What're you doing?" They called to Flameswirl.
"She's hurt, we need to take her back so I can help her." Flameswirl explained, coming nose to nose with Badgerstep.
The tom furrowed his brows, lashing his tail. "She's from Cragclan!"
Flameswirl furrowed his brows together, unsatisfied with the toms response. "So we should let her die? Let her perish? I'm taking her back and helping her, you can either help me or stay out of it." He grunted, turning back to Whiteberry.
Prompt 2:
Flameswirl was busy, hunched over his herbs, and sorting them into their appropriate piles making sure when the time came, he could be quick to the punch. Almost on cue, a call caught his attention. The ginger tom swirled around, catching a patrol that arrived into camp. They were bloodied and bruised, and between them, dragging an apprentice.
"Great Hearthclan..." He murmured under his breath. "Bring him in here."
The two warriors brought over Foxpaw. The small apprentice had a serious, long gash along the inside of his belly. The soft skin broken and blood was gushing from the wound at an alarming pace. Flameswirl quickly grabbed cobwebs, and pressed into the wound to try and clot the blood. His paw was instantly soaked. The two warriors were sharing worried glances from one to the other, scared of what the apprentice might be going through or if he could possibly die.
Flameswirl pushed the apprentice on his back where the wound was most visible on his stomach. "Badgerstep, push into the wound. We're going to try and slow the bleeding." The ginger's toms voice was calm on the outside but inside a storm raged in his mind. Flameswirl then invite the other warrior to do the same, to cover the gash and take his place while Flameswirl prepared the cobwebs once more.
He took a mouthful of marigold in his jaws, petals and leaves and all to be chewed to a pulp. With one paw, he asked Badgerstep to remove his paw and spat the marigold into the wound before quickly wrapping a thick bound of cobwebs around the wound. He continued to do so closely, from the bottom to the top. One he had moved from the bottom, he told Badgerstep to continue to put pressure on the web through the cobwebs and marigold. He did the same with the other warrior, removing her paws and then applying all that is needed.
Foxpaw had lost a lot of blood during this. The warriors and Flameswirl's paws were soak of the metallic stink. "It's okay, you can step off now Badgerstep." Flameswirl said.
He noticed Foxpaw's bleeding had slowly after a little bit, but Flameswirl would keep the pressure until he felt comfortable enough to remove his paws. "Go wash yourself off, you've done good. Only time will tell if we've saved him."
Prompt 3:
Flameswirl had been lounging in the bright sun. It beat down on the clan feverishly, but a commotion had caught his eyes. A tom, lashing out to his clanmates, clearly upset. Flameswirl watched the scene unfold, and before he could do anything, the tom bolted out of camp, panicked.
The cat that the tom was having a conversation with had tried to run after him, but Flameswirl stopping him in his tracks with a swift call. "Don't! Leave him alone, let me talk to him." Flameswirl instructed, knowing that if they continued to bicker, it would only worsen the situation. Flameswirl ducked into the medicine cats den, sorting through the herbs before coming up with thyme. He snatched it up and raced after the cat.
Flameswirl followed a small creek, the smell of the cat strong among the reeds that sprouted from the land. He made his way up until coming face to face with the tom. He was trembling, hunched over and looking at the river. Flameswirl took note of this, slowly approaching him. He dropped the thyme. Herbs were great and all, but sometimes they just needed a friend to talk to.
"Nettlepelt, did you want to talk about it?" Flameswirl started, sitting a little few tail-lengths away. The ginger tom kept his ears perked, where he could listen to the tabby. "I saw what happened back at camp and I got worried. I wanted to checkup on you."
Nettlepelt simply shook his head, not daring to look at Flameswirl. "I'm not the father." He replied blandly.
Flameswirl knew exactly what he was talking about. Goldenheart recently had a litter, Nettlepelt, the clan thought was the father of this litter. The truth finally came out about it. Flameswirl took a deep breath, he wasn't a father himself and wasn't sure how to even begin such a conversation like that. "I'm really sorry to hear about that." Flameswirl started calmly, pressing his side to the tabby tom. "Sometimes things don't work out like that. Goldenheart wasn't the one, and I don't think you want to be with somebody after that."
Nettlepelt nodded his head slowly. He was still trembling and hard to get to. Flameswirl then continue. "I have thyme that can help you relax if you'd like? I'm not going to force you to have some, but I know it helps calm you and soothe the mind."
Nettlepelt simply nodded his head to the ginger tom. Flameswirl took it as a yes and walked a few tail-lengths away to grab the herb. He offered it to the tabby tom, a reassuring smile playing across his lips. "Here, just chew on this. I'll stay here with you until you feel ready to come back to camp." The ginger tom reassured Nettlepelt, watching him chew on the leaves. As time wore on, his breathing slowed and the trembling slowly came to a stop.
"If you need to talk more or if you continue to feel like this, come see me. My dens always welcomed to have you. Your feelings are valid but if I know something about you Nettlepelt, is that you're extremely strong and resilient." Flameswirl reassured once more, running his tail against his side before grabbing the rest of the thyme and bringing it closer.
"Thank you, Flameswirl." Nettlepelt finally said, a soft glimmer in his gaze.
Do you have prior experience in this role?: I've been a medicine cat apprentice once before long ago! I would love to relearn this role as I've only taken up leadership roles since then.
What interests you the most about Highland Tails?: A lot of my friends are already in this roleplay! I feel the community is definitely the determining factor, as well as the setting of the whole roleplay. I haven't been in an RP that's set in Scotland. I'm also very excited to see what the HR's have in mind in terms of plot!
What would you like to see implemented whether it's high ranks or community wise?: Already loving what I see at the moment. Maybe some game nights/community nights would be a great way to get people together, certainly in calls!
Are you a HR/STAFF in another RP: I am! I do feel comfortable taking up another RP as well, as I'm pretty active overall.

Desired Introduction Plot: Patchpaw, would be an apprentice a Warrior apprentice that would love to become a medic due to her passion for flowers/herbs/nature in general.
Med Cat App. Personality: She is a young she-cat, she might look shy but she isn’t, she is a social butterfly with a big heart and will always be there for her mates. She might sometimes have doubt on her capacities but she will do her best to prove her qualities.
Prompt 1- Duties To Healing :
Looking for herb near the rivals' border, Patch knew it wasn’t really prudent for her to venture into the corner but she really needed her herbs that were only in her corner.
Some things intrigued the young she-cat. It was a cat, lying on the ground. They seemed hurt but all seemed curious to her a cat… alone… no one there. Silently approaching, Patch noticed the smell of the lying cat. It was a cat from the neighboring clan. But what was they doing there? Strange as situation. Then Patchpaw looked around her. There was nothing, not the shadow of other presence. Was it a trap? She wondered. Patchpaw remained on her guard. You never know what could happen… and then she didn’t want to fall into a possible trap.
Patch then stood in the corner, reflecting on the situation she ended up concluding with pity that she had to help them. But, are you considered as a traitor? “May hearthclan forgive me…”. As an innocent apprentice Patch didn’t want to risk herself. She would have blamed herself for moons. It was at that point that she had an idea.
The cat still hasn’t moved, so Patch wondered if this one wasn’t immobilized because of some injury, not being able to approach by risk she could not really conclude but at her distance she could still see that no sign of blood appeared. During her herb quest, she had picked up some poppy seeds. So, she decided to bring some to the cat. While remaining on guard and listening carefully if there was any movement around her.
Patchpaw then approached little by little. She did not address a word to the cat considered rival. In her mouth were the poppy seeds. She then laid them at the cat’s feet and murmured at herself. “Forgive me, as a rival clan cat to yours, I can’t afford to treat you anymore. But seeing your distress I still drop you all some Poppy Seeds. This will help you to pass the pain. Hoping that you can come home safe and sound.” She ends up with a smile that she doesn’t poison them. Then Patchpaw returned by trotting on his herbs quest and praying to the hearthclan that this cat would return home safely and that she will be pardoned for helping a stranger/rival…
Prompt 2- Battle Ready:
First of all, I install the injured person on a comfortable leaf nest. I examine the wound and see what I can do. A lot of care can be provided. It depends on what I have at my pawtips, what season it is—
I would use a plant such as the “Poppy Seed” or “Coltsfoot” to relieve shock, pain and help with breathing if it becomes difficult. Then I would use different plants, again depending on what I have available, but here’s what I could use: Marigold to stop infection and blood clotting. - Fennel to relieve pain if it is at the hip, Horsetail or Oak Leaf: to avoid infection. If any bones are broken: Rush stinging nettle or Comfrey Root. And finally, I would apply spider webs to bark blood and keep the wound clean.
RP -
Patch, alerted by the cats return to the camp, she precipitates near them, noticing that one of them is seriously injured her priority is to take him to the shelter. Patchpaw stressing by the situation caught her breath and installed the injured one on a soft grass nest putting poppy seeds at the disposal to relieve the pain and Coltsfoot if the warrior’s breathing is difficult. The other two injured as for them are brought in afterwards but she will deal with it later.
Her green eyes watching them hurt, the little cat then moved in all the shelters looking for all the plants that could save them. Grabbing all in her mouth and bringing them one at a time near the cat. Patch, rushed, time was running out, this cat’s life lay on her. Observing from right to left and from top to bottom the cat lying in front of her, she first grabbed leaves of Marigold which she chewed creating a juice which she gently deposited on the wound in order to stop the blood clotting.
The blood then stopped slowly… Patchpaw caught then with her muzzle filled with horsetail tasks that she once again chewed up in order to stop any infection from the injury. Hearing the cat’s mewling, she understood that the situation was difficult and that the pain was terrible. But she gave a reassuring smile. “Don’t worry, I promise you it will be fine, give me a few more minutes…”. The cat smiled back at Patch, totally trusting her.
It was then that the spotted cat took advantage to observe if a bone was not broken. Touching with her small paws, she noticed that unfortunately, a bone broken and that the pleasure was therefore well open, which explained why there was so much blood. // But what happened to bring you back to this state… // she mumbled. Patch then went to equip herself with other plants she chewed, such as rush, stinging nettles and comfrey root. After chewing that, she applied to the cat’s bone always delicately to avoid aggravating the pain the poor cat was experiencing…
Having finished all the necessary treatments, Patchpaw finishes her examination by going to look for spider webs by verifying that there is no spider in it of course… She grabbed the spider web and wrapped it delicately around the wound, it will then stabilize the broken bone and make the wound clean. All this ending, the cat will now need a lot of rest, but at least it is now safe.
Having finished his operation, trotted to go prepare a mixture of herbs that she will give to the cat that he will swallow in order to regain strength and avoid any pain of the wound that is repaired.
Prompt 3-Confidant:
For this situation, Patchpaw will give herbs such as Goatweed or even Thyme so that the concerned can relax (because this herb are really helpful for anxiety) with the grass she has carefully prepared. After the second part and the most important will be the discussion. Patchpaw will then allow herself to talk to the cat concerned, to know their reasons for acting, where this anxiety comes from.
The discussion is the best thing for this kind of problem, it will help them with confessing their problems and this help Patchpaw find a solution to their problems and can perhaps solve them whatever it is. Patchpaw could talk to the leader about the problem so it can be really solved. With her big heart, Patchpaw is very attentive and can totally understand her mates and help them get better. So she will totally able to confront a situation like that.
Do you have prior experience in this role?: No
What interests you the most about Highland Tails?
I really like the project. Having two clans is super interesting. Especially when the clans are quite opposed. Then it’s different from the four clans we used to see in WC rp.
There is also the fact that I already know people, but also the pleasure of meeting new people.
What would you like to see implemented whether it's high ranks or community wise?
Mini-event, it depends on what the community like. But small games OOC with music… or movie night… IC it could depend on the moment for example if it’s during Halloween, creepy night or this summer with summer party where the character meet stuff like that
Are you a HR/STAFF in another RP: I was staff in an old rp. A wolf one. But right now no, I’m only a staff in another game.
Racconpaw isn't a very active cat or a very skilled fighter - but she does have a way with words and can be a very persuasive cat. She's extremely witty as has a way of tricking cats into doing what she wants or convincing others to do things. Due to this, she could be recognised as somebody who can deal with particularly troublesome patients while making other patients feel safe and comfortable in their time of need. Despite being an extremely deceitful cat, she wants nothing more to protect her clan and help others.
But I also really don't mind how she would get introduced
Med Cat App. Personality:
Raccoonpaw isn't the average apprentice, she's not interested in fighting or being a brute in any way, this dark-pelted she-cat prefers to win her battles with her wit, not her claws. She's an extremely deceitful she-cat who knows her way around a conversation and is particularly talented at getting cats to act a certain way - however, by no extent could she be considered evil; in fact, this she-cat seems to get along with everybody without stress - she's calm, collected and seems to be able to alter her personality depending on who she's talking to. Raccoon is the last cat to be overwhelmed in stressful situations, she believes that that fear and worry get in the way of solutions and progress.
+ Great sense of humour
+ Great communication skills
+ Dedicated, quick and talented academic leaner
- Sometimes can be a bit insensitive
- A bit of a know-it-all
Prompt 1:
Racconleap raised her head to sniff the air, trying to catch the scent of any particularly strong-smelling herbs. Upon recognising nothing of medical use, the she-cat grunted softly and headed over to a patch of dandelions, leaning down to pick a bunch from the ground. "Why hello again, dandelion. It's truly a shame that after so long of knowing each other I still haven't-"
Raccoon had paused mid-pun, her body freezing and dropping the flowers she had picked when the terrible sound of a suffering cry broke out in the distance. 'Distance? No- it sounded closer than 'distance', it sounded..?' Raccoon thought to herself as she scanned the immediate area for the distressed cat, squinting when she spotted a foreign cat not to far away, 'Is that-?' Yes, it definitely was. Racconleap started pacing over to the injured cat, sniffing the air again. She knew she was close to Cragclan's borders, so when she surveyed the air earlier she didn't take much notice of their clan's distinct stench, but this time she confirmed that the scent was closer than she had previously thought - in the form of an agonised cat. Raccoon frowned slightly before she assessed the cat's condition, squinting slightly when she noticed that the tom did not appear injured.
She grew suspicious, and looked around once again before getting closer to the cat, stopping about 5 metres away from it. "Don't worry, sweetie - I'm gonna help ya, I just need you to tell me what's wrong." She called out to him, trying to get a closer look to confirm that he didn't actually have any physical injuries.
The rival cat didn't respond with anything other than agonised cries and painful sobs, and something seemed to burn inside her, telling her than this was genuine. A determined frown crept onto her face as she frantically pondered her options - the cat seemed to be a young tom - and he was alone? Another quick scan of her surroundings confirmed that. Perhaps he had snuck out from camp and gotten hurt- but he has no visible injuries... Is it possible that..?
She knew she had no time to waste and quickly returned to her collection of herb that she had built up on her travels and rummaged through it, smiling confidently as she recalled picking up some yarrow correctly. She ran back to the young tom and placed the yarrow in her paws before offering it to his mouth. "It's alright, mate. Take a munch on this, you'll be feeling better in no time." She offered playfully, yet in a compassionate and loving tone. The young tom hesitantly obliged, chowing down on the yarrow desperately. She was wholly aware of the tom's belonging to a rival faction, and she was aware of the risks she was taking by treating him - but to let a young cat die because she had petty doubts about why he was here or who he may be with... It just wasn't who she was. Raccoonleap wasn't just a risk-taker; she was an educated risk-taker. She hadn't seen anything that might prove that the young tom wasn't alone - and even if he wasn't; why set up an attack against a mere medicine cat? The opposing clan was their rival; not some demonic group of heartless cats. Either way, the witty she-cat was confident she would be able to elude any attackers, so she wasn't about to gamble with another's life.
It wasn't long before the young tom was throwing his guts up, with the desensitised she-cat placing a comforting paw on his back until the tom had calmed down. She almost didn't believe that the tom was practically dying a few moments ago as he quickly recovered from the vomiting and looked at her with wide, life-filled eyes. "Y-You saved me... Why..?" He asked fearfully. To which, Raccoon responded: "You ain't special, love. It's what I do, innit." She muttered with an obviously fake stern tone. "Now get moving, before I decide to mention it to Merlinstar - and don't go eating stuff you shouldn't be."
Prompt 2:
Raccoonleap rushed out of her den when the sound of panic and the smell of blood reached her senses; her eyes widened at the scene playing out in front on her: several beaten up cats, two with mild injury and one who was bleeding profusely from an open wound on his neck. A concerned frown sneaked onto the dark-pelted she-cat features as she analysed the 3 most injured cats. One of them obviously needed immediate attention if he even wanted a chance of seeing another day, while the other two seemed manageable - however, she knew it was never that simple - any of the other two cat's conditions could have worsened if she didn't pay adequate attention to it. She pondered for a moment, she knew who needed her the most, but she can't risk the potential for one of the other's cats conditions to worsen because she's tirelessly waiting over a cat who looks almost dead already.
She sighed in frustration as she debated her options, 'Quit messing about, you can't waste time pondering on what might happen, ya looney' she muttered to herself mentally before frowning with determination. She knew she couldn't do this alone, but she didn't have an apprentice yet, so she was just going to have to make use of the idle warriors.
She called out for any volunteers, and a couple warriors came forward, even the odd apprentice too. She nodded to them firmly and ran to the side of the most injured tom. "One with me, the rest get to Bluepelt and Ravenfeather and find them a nest in the den." She ordered firmly before quickly escorting the injured tom, who was known as Raggedclaw, into the den and laid him down.
She wasted no time getting what she needed for the tom's injuries: a large bit of moss, cobwebs & some poppy seeds. She needed the tom to be awake so she could monitor his progress, so she held back from giving him the poppy seeds just yet. She placed the large bit of moss over the tom's wound and glanced at the warrior who had come to help her. "Push down on this leaf, control his bleeding." She ordered firmly and the warrior quickly obliged, putting pressure on the tom's wound. Raccoon monitored the warriors performance for a few moments to confirm that she wasn't suffocating him or pressing too lightly. Once she was satisfied, she moved over to the other two injured warriors. She knew that if she placed cobwebs on the tom's wound while he was bleeding like that, the blood would have just soaked through and past the cobwebs - this however, gave her the perfect opportunity to review the other two injured warriors.
She analysed Bluepelt's wounds, and quickly concluded they were nothing serious, so she directed one of the warriors who volunteered to help her to collect one or two poppy seeds, just to relieve the she-cat's pain. After that, she told Bluepelt to take some time to rest and to return if the pain worsens. Then, she moved onto Ravenfeather.
The tom was now breathing quite heavily, and seemed more lethargic than before. Raccoonleap's heart almost dropped, but she kept her composure and checked the tom over thoroughly, quickly finding a deep cut, with yellow-white puss seeping out. She frowned nervously, 'Crap.. That quick..?' She thought to herself before glancing over at a warrior who had agreed to help her. "Start cleaning this wound, and don't swallow any of that, mate. You'll have one hell of a bellyache." She ordered before trotting over to her collection of herbs, frantically scanning them. She soon found and picked out some chervil, setting it aside before heading back to the Raggedclaw, the most injured warrior. By now, his bleeding had calmed down, but the tom was lethargic and drowsy. She felt a pang of pain in her chest when she sensed something... Another cat..? She glanced around, there wasn't anybody new in the den... A lump arose in her throat before she gave a sad look to the warrior holding the leaf to his wound. She took over holding the moss down and softly said: "Go find any loved ones."
Once the warrior had left, she gentle removed the moss and placed cobwebs over the wound. She then gave the tom poppy seeds to ease his pain and laid down next to him. He weakly glanced over at her, his gaze unfocused. "I.. I'm going to die... Aren't I?" He muttered, his voice barely a whisper. Raccoonleap looked at him with a soft and gentle gaze, and gave him a sad and sorry smile. "My dear... You won't be alone. They're waiting for you." She told him softly. "Your journey to Hearthclan will start with you surrouned by those who you are loved by, and it will end like that too. Don't be afraid." She placed her paw on his, forcing a purr to rise from her chest to comfort the tom.
Raggedclaw looked nervous, but smiled faintly. "T-.. Thank you.. Racconleap."
It wasn't long before the warrior returned with a handful of cats who were close to Raggedclaw, and she glanced up at them with glossy eyes. They looked at her with concern, a question lingering on their faces: 'will he be okay?'. Raccoonleap tried to force out a sad smile to them, but couldn't keep it up as she shook her head softly. They quickly picked up on the atmosphere, and accompanied the dying tom. Raccoon left them to say their goodbyes, and wiped her eyes. "Care for him well, Hearthclan." She prayed softly before returning to the chervil she had set aside, picking up some moss before soaking it in water and bringing it with her, returning to Ravenfeather. She ushered the warrior cleaning the wound out of the way before cleaning the wound more thoroughly with the moss. After this, she chewed on the chervil, extracting it's juices to use on the infected wound. Finally, she finished off by placing cobwebs over his wound.
She informed Ravenfeather that he needed to stay in camp for the next few days so she could monitor him, and that if the pain grew worse to call her over. She dismissed the volunteered warriors and sighed in exhaustion.
She listened to the situation finally start to calm down - at least, until she heard sobbing. She perked her ears and looked back towards the dying tom, but something else caught her eye. A starry figure of a very familiar tom- 'Is that..?' she thought before the figure smiled and dipped his head at her. She widened her eyes before smiling back. "Farewell, Raggedclaw." She muttered under her breath as the tom disappeared.
Prompt 3:
Raccoonleap wandered out of her den, the dark-pelted she-cat's gaze darting between her fellow clan mates, subconsciously scanning them over for any abnormalities. Her eyes fell upon a certain she-cat who she had noticed to be particularly distressed recently - whenever a certain topic arose the light-pelted she-cat had lashed out at who she was talking with and it had becoming concerning for Raccoonleap. The she-cat seemed worse today, and Raccoonleap mentally kicked herself for not confronting the she-cat herself earlier. She watched the she-cat pace back and forth while she looked around frantically, as if waiting for something. Raccoonleap approached the she-cat with a cunning smile. "Mornin' darlin'!" She called out kindly; as soon as the she-cat heard her, she seemed to jump - her wide, frightened eyes darted to Raccoonleap before the she-cat made a run for it, running out of the camp in a panic.
Raccoonleap was shocked at the she-cats response, but it wasn't long until a determined frown grew on her face and the witty she-cat sprung into action. She glanced around the camp frantically, 'Alright, Racc, don't be too picky..' She thought to herself as she quickly assessed her options. Her eyes rested on a warrior who she had had a few run-ins with, nice cat; she was intelligent and a newly-made warrior so she was eager to help out almost all the time.
"Brighttail, darlin'! Go tell Merlinstar that I'm headed out, and to put some warriors on guard of the camp." She called out to her, her loud, distinct voice quickly getting her attention. She had pondered the possibilities of the cause of the she-cats panic and one happened to be that something or somebody is coming. "And I mean now, sweetie." She called again, but more firm. By now she had the attention of most of the camp, which worked well in her advantage for recruiting escort. She raised a brow towards two warriors who she knew to be quite friendly with each other and gestured for them to follow her. "This ain't a leisurely stroll, pick up the pace a bit will ya?" She called before ensuring that Brighttail has disappeared to find Merlinstar before running out of the camp, followed by the two warriors.
She knew it might not have been wise to leave the camp, but her den was pretty quite and she was confident in her apprentice to be able to handle giving poppy seeds to grouchy elders. Besides, she was a skilled communicated and had much more experience in dealing with distressed cats than any of the warriors, she didn't want the frightened she-cat to be intimidated by a patrol of skilled fighters hunting her. She certainly couldn't just dismiss the matter either, especially since the ambiguity of the situation made the risk immeasurable. She decided the best thing to do was to hunt down the she-cat herself, accompanied by two warriors in case her theory of unfriendly visitors was correct.
'Well, would ya look at that; never thought I'd want to be wrong.' Do you have prior experience in this role?: The med cat is probably my favourite role within a clan and I used to play it a lot back in the older days of Feral Heart, however, I haven't played on in a long time so I would need to brush up on the herbs & their uses. Although becoming an apprentice would help me to relearn certain aspects of the role.
What interests you the most about Highland Tails?: I heccing love warrior cats & roleplaying but i am NOT a furry i swear What would you like to see implemented whether it's high ranks or community wise?: Community nights like movie nights or where we just all play a different game together!
Are you a HR/STAFF in another RP: Yes, I am a moderator and clan leader in the Verdant Forest
